Santa Claus Is Coming 2 Town!
Sheilah asked me “is it wrong to be singing ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ before I go to bed?” WHY . . . because for the first time in a really long time she is filled with anticipation for the long awaited PERMENANT life change. For Sheilah the time has arrived to either do it or don’t – or as my husband likes to say “Sh*t or get off the pot!”
August 4th through August 6th
SHEILAH’S TRUTH:
-
It occurred to me that all this time I have been hungry and eating (eating empty junk) – but it wasn’t food that I was really hungry for. I was hungry for something more in life and I was trying to fill the hunger with more food. Now I recognize all this time I was hungry to become my best. So I ask you Mamas, what are you really hungry for?
-
When I think about quitting, I typically quit. So I choose not to think about quitting.
-
I’m stronger than I thought I was. I’m wondering what else I am more capable of than I originally thought!
SHEILAH’S DARE:
-
Increase running time to 35 minutes straight (her personal best EVER!) with a 30 second sprint to the finish line
-
Birth of a new exciting adventure – Share a weekly article of her real-life experience as a SINGLE Smokin’ Hot Mama (like Carrie on Sex & The City)
-
Get up every morning at 6 a.m. (a key to Mama’s success is begin viewing sleep as a necessity NOT an objective!)
-
Fall in love again with the goals she set on January 1st – the goals she took down from her mirror and gave up on.
Would it be appropriate to say Sheilah has taken the “Sh*t or get off the pot” analogy to heart and she’s OFF THE POT! Look at this girl go . . . what amazing success she has had in this first week! Excuse me dealer, I would like to increase my bet on the single Mama fighting her way out of the corner!

What wonderful self knowledge you gained this week!! Those are some pretty profound statements. So many of us are "hungry" for something and we just don't know what will fullfill that hunger. We fill it with things that harm us both physical and emotionaly. When in reality we just need to love ourselves...one of the hardest things should be the easiest. I love you beautiful and I am so proud of you for taking this truth and dare challenge. You are an amazing Momma, friend and an inspiration!!
PS I think I do need to get in on the 6 am wake up call with you! :)
Emotional eating is such a struggle for all of us. And the second we stop and look at the truth of it,... the calories on the label, the real consequence to that action, what we are thinking of in that moment, what we are really needing, it becomes easier to make better choices. I will send you a little sunshine every morning my friend. It will be a chain of encouragement. Its waaay better than any old alarm clock!!!
I've decided to get up at 6am to walk/jog! I don't want to be running any marathons however i want to get in shape for my kids activities and my horseback riding. Time to tone up now that i've shed the inches!
P.S. I don't use an alarm clock since I have that darn internal one! I could use a motivation call at 6am to keep me from rolling back over! Love ya
Yeah! If the marathon bug never bites ya at least that jog in the mornin will get your motor runnin for the day! Your on my mornin wake up list girly!!! Oh and congrats on the shrinkage I bet you look fantastic!!!! Love and miss ya!
