1100% INCREASED Odds!
Sheilah had given up on her goals for 2010, but we sure didn’t! If you’ve been following her incredible journey for the past 17 days, you have witnessed a transformation! So, it’s time Sheilah gets familiar with those big goals again and this time she’s not removing them from the mirror until they are accomplished!
Today, this is her bathroom mirror . . . covered in “Sticky Goals” and broken down into mini-goals to get her exactly where she wants to go in life. And written in bold letters all across the mirror reads “Roadblocks don’t bother me. They just mean that I am alive and running, and I’m not going to stand still for anything.”
Well Sheilah is certainly alive and running and her little journey is touching Mamas around the world and inspiring us all to GO FOR IT and “not stand still for anything!”
Did you know research shows those who write down their goals are 1100% more likely to achieve them? Not 100%, not 110%, that’s ONE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!!! Sheilah now finds herself in a high likelihood of success!
Most everyone thinks they already have goals, but the tragedy is all they really have are hopes and wishes. A goal has ENERGY behind it – that energy comes from writing it down and putting it where you can see it every single day. What better place than your bathroom mirror?
We each have two “mechanisms” – a FAILURE Mechanism and a SUCCESS Mechanism. The FAILURE Mechanism goes off automatically. It is the temptation to live without discipline and take the path of least resistance. (it appears in the form of a snooze button, a 2nd helping of dinner, a delayed phone call, etc). Your SUCCESS Mechanism is triggered by a goal! You override your FAILURE Mechanism and change the direction of your life when you have written goals.
Suddenly Sheilah will begin seeing opportunities all around her for the relationships, career, finances, health and fitness she desires. Her SUCCESS Mechanism is firing off like crazy and just watch what happens!

Of all the achievements thus far in this T&D Challenge, this one makes me the proudest! It takes guts to put goals in writing. I'm betting all my $$$$ on you Sheilah!
Thanks pretty Mama! I was so tired and almost put it off till the next day. And decided nope thats the old stuff talkin there, I'm doin it right now! I broke down the weight loss goal into 2 lb baby goals as well as each additional mile ran. Every time I get to take another sticky goal down I will feel GREAT! And my bathroom is a typical apartment bathroom so the potty is right in front of the sink. So whether I need a little light reading for a minute;-) or I'm puttin on my face in the mornin I cant help but be inspired at least a few times a day! Lol
I am so proud of you girl!!! I have to share with you that I updated my goals the other day to modify them to my current journey of life. I like your mini 2lb marks on the weight loss idea. I think I am going to use it too! been looking at one step for too long! Love you beautiful!!
Love you too my friend. Ya know whats nice about breaking it down into baby goals is that little bit of satisfaction you get each time you move one is more frequent and it keeps ya motivated.
