Gone CRAZY!
Yip, it’s official – we have pushed her over the edge and she is now talking to herself and guess what, it’s WORKING! Sheilah is reading my all time favorite book “What to Say When You Talk to Yourself” and she is learning a vital truth: How successful you will be at anything is directly tied to the words and beliefs about yourself that you have stored in your subconscious mind.
Crap, all those times you have said “I’m just not a morning person, I can’t run without being out of breath, I gain weight by simply smelling food, I don’t have energy, I just have bad luck . . .” have been stored in your subconscious mind and are now forming your mental image of yourself. Let’s break that down – if you think you can’t, then you can’t!
Scripture even spells it out nice and simple for us, “As a man thinketh, so is he.” We are going through life living out the picture of ourselves we have created in our own minds. So, if we want to change our lives, we must change our self-image and to change our self-image, we must begin with the way we talk to ourselves.
Research shows as much as 77% of everything we think is negative, counterproductive and works against us. Admittedly Sheilah came to realize this was TRUTH in her own life. She was all too familiar with all she could not do and all she could not accomplish and she had no idea all that she COULD do.
11 days into the Truth and Dare Challenge Sheilah is getting a tiny glimpse at all she CAN do. One day at a time, one word at a time she is reprogramming her mental image. She is changing her beliefs about all that is possible and DARING to go for it! "When I feel any negative feeling or thought I say 'That's not true, get out of my way. You won't beat me and I won't feel like that today.' I now ask myself if I want the old life or the new life."
Sheilah’s words and thoughts to herself now sound like this:
I set goals and I reach them.
My clothes are falling off my skinny ass.
I have an abundance of energy – I am ALIVE!
I can accomplish anything I choose and I refuse to let anything negative hold me back.
I have strength, power and confidence.
I chose what kind of day I'm going to have.
I’m meant for something great and I get closer everytime I push a little harder.
Roadblocks don’t bother me. They just mean that I am alive and running and I’m not going to stand still for anything.
I expect the very best of what I have to give – and that’s what I get!
I am an exceptional Mama!
I’ve got this!
What I do today impacts my tomorrow.
Go right ahead and shout them out with her! It’s like a little piece of magic in your back pocket! Hey Sheilah, we think confidence looks mighty good on you!

Hey Amy, the skinny ass one works great! I even visualize myself posing for a celebration picture in this little red dress and heels that I LOVE when I have hit my weigh in goal for this month!
